Four nominated Prinsjesdag stallions!

The KWPN Stallion Show is over and it was a wonderful reunion with a few stallions that were auctioned as foals at Foal Auction Prinsjesdag, as well as many loyal entrants, buyers and others involved in the stand next to the main ring. Four stallions have been invited for the performance test.

On Wednesday, the Dominator Z son Defender VDS Z (ds.Padinus), bred by Daphne van der Scheer, was definitely one of the highlights. The stallion was sold as a foal at Foal Auction Prinsjesdag to his current owner Herman Verhagen. Genetically very interesting is the Illinois BZ (Ideal de la Loge x Elvis ter Putte), bred by Erik and Josje Sleutels, who was auctioned as an embryo in our auction and thus was born in the stables of current owner Rinus Blom. He also showed a lot of jumping talent. On the second jumping day, Willem Greve's Grandorado TN son Mevano (ds.Indoctro, breeder Jan Arend Bouwhuizen) did well and this athletic jumping stallion also earned an invitation for the KWPN performance test.

Dressage talent
Among the dressage stallions, the beautiful Apache son Mapache (ds.Desperado, breeder Willem Goesten) who moves uphill has rightly become a public favourite. The jury was also charmed by Ad Valk's stallion and with that he is another step further towards KWPN approval. Breeders and owners: congratulations on this success and good luck for the future!

Prinsjesdag references prove themselves in sports

Every week horses that have changed hands through Foal Auction Prinsjesdag prove that the motto 'the power of performance' is the right one. Prinsjesdag references come up time and again at national and international show jumping and dressage competitions. Gaudi Vita and Joyce Heuitink took bronze in the Dutch National Championships Small Tour and Gintura, Imerald and Feeling Luckey jumped into the spotlight.

Ruben Romp is doing well with the Zirocco Blue VDL daughter Gintura (ds.Corland). With this mare, bred by the Toonders family, he finished second and ninth in 1.35m classes at CSI2* Tubbergen. Karim El Zoghby won two prizes at CSI3* Redefin with the Bustique offspring Feeling Luckey (ds.Krunch de Brêve). In the 1.40m they jumped clear to fourth place, after they had already finished seventh in the 1.35m. In Wiener-Neustadt, Imerald (Emerald x Darco) under Maximilian Schmid made a name for himself by winning no fewer than four international Youngster Tour classes. In addition, they once again finished third in the 1.30m for six-year-olds.

Dutch Championship Dressage
During the Dutch Dressage Championships, Gaudi Vita (Apache x Welt Hit II, breeder: Heleen Broos) played a leading role, who won a handsome bronze with Joyce Heuitink in the championship of the Small Tour. Denise Nekeman and Boston STH (Johnson x Quattro B, breeder Jan Temmink) also showed nice rides. With a score of more than 70% twice, they reached eleventh place in the final of the Heavy Tour. Finally, Zoë Kuintjes and the Prinsjesdag reference Primeval Brittsion (Sir Donnerhall x Krack C, breeder Dirk van der Oord) finished sixth at the Dutch Championships for Young Riders.

Charities: Support Casper and Villa Pardoes

Just like every year, Foal Auction Prinsjesdag will also show its social commitment in 2019 by supporting two charities. On the day of the jumping foals, an auction piece will be auctioned for Support Casper, and Villa Pardoes will be supported in this way with the dressage foals.

Last year, half of the proceeds from the jumping foal Velleza-S Z went to the Support Casper campaign of the Survival with Pancreatic Cancer Foundation. This organization is fully committed to the fight against one of the most aggressive forms of cancer. Every day, eight people die of pancreatic cancer in the Netherlands alone. 90% of patients diagnosed with it do not survive the disease. The aim of the campaign is to raise awareness about pancreatic cancer and at the same time raise structural funds to enable much-needed research into new, innovative treatment methods. The name of the campaign is oncologist and surgeon Casper van Eijck. He specializes in pancreatic cancer and is raising money for new research. This year too, Support Casper will be supported at Foal Auction Prinsjesdag, on Tuesday 17 September.

Villa Pardoes
Villa Pardoes is an initiative of Stichting Natuurpark De Efteling, and the idea is based on the successful concept of the organization 'Give Kids the World' that offers seriously ill children in the United States a holiday. Villa Pardoes offers an unforgettable free holiday for families with a seriously, potentially life-threatening ill child between the ages of four and twelve. For children who would love to think about something other than their illness for a while. For brothers, sisters, parents, grandfathers and grandmothers who dream of a carefree week together. Villa Pardoes consists of twelve holiday homes and exists thanks to the efforts of a large number of volunteers, employees and sponsors who find it important that seriously ill children and their families also have an unforgettable holiday. At the dressage foal auction of Prinsjesdag on Wednesday September 18, this foundation is the charity.

Prince's Day foal Kaiser Milton champion Trakehner Verband

Kaiser Milton has been crowned champion of the Trakehner stallion selection. Owner Jan Pieter Dalsem from Den Hoorn bought the stallion as a foal at the 2015 Prinsjesdag auction. AJW Aan de Stegge from Enter bred the Millennium stallion out of the full sister of the Grand Prix stallions Kaiserkult TSF and Kaiserdom. Breeding manager Lars Gehrmann of the Trakehner Verband called Kaiser Milton a stallion who combines everything: a beautiful model, good movements and a good hind leg and a great pedigree.

In 2015, Kaiser Milton brought €15,000 into our auction, which turned out to be a good investment. The appealing stallion was sold for €320,000 to Stal Klosterhof Medingen in Bad Bevensen, Germany.

Six foals For Pleasure to Prinsjesdag

Many descendants of the legendary top progenitor For Pleasure uphold his name at the most prestigious competitions in the world, including Fit For Fun, Flora de Mariposa, Barron, Epleaser van 't Heike and For Joy van 't Zorgvliet. Foal Auction Prinsjesdag offers no fewer than six foals by this foundation stallion, which have every potential to further increase the profit of his offspring.

AUCTION EMBRYO MYLORD FROM SISTER QUOD'COEUR EXTENDED DUE TO EC

This week the auction of the embryo of Mylord Carthago out of Tsarina de la Loge, the full sister of Quod'Coeur de la Loge, started on www.embryoauction.com. Reason for extending the auction is Quod'Coeur's participation next week in the European Jumping Championships in Aachen for France with rider Roger-Yves Bost.

The initiators of www.embryoauction.com consider the extension a good way to keep up with current events: 'Initially, the auction was to close next Sunday, August 16. But what we would like to emphasize is the connection with top sport. It is unique to be able to buy an embryo from a full sister of a horse that will compete in the EC next week. If Quod'Coeur actually comes to the start and shows what he has to offer, that also says something about the value of the embryo that we are auctioning. That is why we give interested parties the opportunity to watch the European Championship.'
The embryo is a combination of excellent sport genes from Holstein and France via Mylord Carthago and the full sister of Grand Prix show jumper Quod 'Coeur de la Loge, who already won three 1.50/1.55m classes in Madrid in the first half of this year, Amsterdam and Rotterdam with Roger-Yves Bost.
The sister in question is called Tsarina de la Loge and descends from Ideal de la Loge, the stallion with whom 'Bosty' won numerous Grand Prix and participated in the European Championships in Windsor 2009. Tsarina herself is classified 1.20m. Her dam Fana de la Loge (Tenor de la Cour) is a half sister of the 1.60m show jumper Lolita de la Loge, the internationally classified Canasta de la Loge and the approved stallions Messire de la Loge and Heureka de la Loge.
The Olympic stallion Mylord Carthago comes from one of the best jumping damlines in France and also proved his innate talent at the highest level in the jumping ring with Penelope Leprevost.

Arc de Triomphe second in three-star Grand Prix Varberg

VARBERG - The Triomphe de Muze son Arc de Triomphe achieved his best result so far last weekend: a wonderful second place in the three-star Grand Prix of Varberg. The gelding ridden by Frank Schuttert was auctioned in 2005 at Foal Auction Prinsjesdag.

Under Frank Schuttert, Arc de Triomphe was just 0.09 seconds ahead of winner Peder Fredricson and H&M All In. The Arc de Triomphe, bred by the Van Straaten family – son of the international top mare Una Bella S – has been a real eye-catcher for many years. Arc de Triomphe won the VION Cup under Frank Schuttert as a six- and seven-year-old and this second place in the three-star Grand Prix proves once again the potential of this wealthy gelding!

VARGBERG – Prinsjesdag-sold Arc de Triomphe jumped to an impressive second place in the three star Grand Prix of Varberg. With Frank Schuttert the son of Triomphe de Muze was only 0.09 seconds slower than winner Peder Fredricson. A wonderful performance for the gelding bred by family Van Straaten!
