Foal Auction Prinsjesdag live in the open air with guests

Taking into account all government and RIVM guidelines, Foal Auction Prinsjesdag will organize a live auction on Tuesday 15 September – albeit in a modified variant. The location remains unchanged; Traditionally, Foal Auction Prinsjesdag will take place at the KNHS center in Ermelo. The set-up and decoration are different from normal, for example, the foal auction will take place in the open air with space for a limited number of VIP guests and invited guests.

In addition to the 59 already published foals, three wild card foals will also be auctioned by Koen Olaerts on Tuesday 15 September. In order to comply with all guidelines, Foal Auction Prinsjesdag has drawn up a careful and extensive corona plan. Unfortunately, the organization is only allowed to receive a limited number of guests during the live auction this year, but everyone has the option to bid online for the exclusive foals.

Unique Prinsjesdag atmosphere
The VIP box is divided into several separate tents around the auction arena, each with two VIP tables for four people. In this way the 1,5 meter distance rule can be applied, but the organization still tries to create the unique atmosphere of Foal Auction Prinsjesdag.

Foal viewing
The dressage and show jumping foals will be auctioned in one auction this year from 2 pm. Since applying the corona measures in a traditional foal presentation seems difficult to achieve, this has been cancelled. From 12:00 noon, interested parties will have the opportunity to view the foals in and around the stable complex in order to get a good impression of the collection. Naturally, all foals appear live in the arena during the auction.

Program
The schedule for Tuesday, September 15 is as follows:
Arrival foals 09:00 – 11:30 hrs
View foals 12:00 – 13:30
Reception of guests 13:30 – 14:00
Auction starts at 14:00 o'clock

If you are interested in one or more Prinsjesdag foals and would like to attend the auction, please register as soon as possible via info@prinsjesdag.eu† For online bids you can register at online.prinsjesdag.eu/register.

'Holland Horse Land' again present at Longines Global Champions Tour in Mexico City

Amsterdam – Following last year's success, Mexico City will once again be dominated by the Longines Global Champions Tour from April 6-9. Once again the team of Equine Support International (ESI) will act as ambassador of Holland Horse Land. This is an annual project of the Dutch Embassy in collaboration with several Dutch partners, including Horse Service International, KLM, Prinsjesdag foal auction, Team Nijhof, Ehorses, Hank Melse Stables, KWPN and De Wiemselbach. They will work together to show the Mexican equestrian what we as the Netherlands Horse Country have to offer.

Due to the growing demand for KWPN horses and friezes in Mexico, the demand for Dutch horse knowledge is also increasing. The Holland Horse Land project responds to this demand by bringing Mexican equestrian athletes together with the Dutch equestrian sector in order to increase horse welfare and thus improve sports performance.

This year, the Holland Horse Land stand will serve as a major source of equestrian information for visitors to the event. In the stand, Mexican horse lovers can find everything about Dutch equestrian sport and its knowledge, products and services. Think of the 10 commandments for a healthy horse, studbooks and the innovative products and services that the Dutch equestrian sport is rich in.

This is a nice follow-up to a hopefully annual Dutch presence in Mexico City, where seeing and being seen is of great importance.

Exclusive Hickstead embryo to Sweden for 34,000 euros

Via Embryoauction.com, the very exclusive embryo of Hickstead out of the full sister of Quod'Coeur de la Loge was sold to Sweden for no less than 34,000 euros. This makes this unique embryo the most expensive embryo auctioned via Embryoauction.com since its launch in August 2015.

A Swedish buyer eventually took the lead in the bidding war for the embryo of the legendary Hickstead – the 2008 Olympic champion under the saddle of Eric Lamaze. The available frozen semen of the sadly deceased Hickstead is scarce, but via the advanced ICSI method we have managed to collect an embryo of this world-famous stallion.
The mother of the embryo is none other than Tsarina de la Loge – a daughter of Ideal de la Loge and the full sister of Quod'Coeur de la Loge. Ideal de la Loge belonged to the absolute world top under Frenchman Roger-Yves Bost and won, among other things, two Global Champions Tour Grand Prix. Quod'Coeur de la Loge is currently one of the best in the world and recently won the Global Champions Tour in Mexico City under Roger-Yves Bost.

Embryoauction.com congratulates the buyers with the purchase of this unique embryo!

New step for Chris van Dam / EQ International

After having worked for 25 years at EQ International, it is time for a new step in Chris van Dam's career.
As of December 15, Chris van Dam is no longer working at equestrian organization agency EQ International, which is known for events such as Outdoor Gelderland, Jumping de Achterhoek, CSI Salland, ICNN Drachten and various auctions, including Foal Auction Prinsjesdag and Grand Prix Sale. The agency will be continued by Nataly van Eykel and Mariska Gerrits, who have been co-shareholders of EQ International since 2008. They know the ins and outs of organizing equestrian events and will divide Chris' tasks among themselves. In addition, they will make use of third parties for certain matters, for example in the field of facilities. In addition, Chris will remain involved on a project basis in a number of specific projects of EQ International, including, for example, Foal Auction Prinsjesdag.
