Foal Auction Prinsjesdag further expands service for buyers

The Foal Auction Prinsjesdag, which takes place on Tuesday 13 and Wednesday 14 September at the KNHS Center in Ermelo, has an extensive information team ready for buyers. This further expands the service.

Those who cannot attend can register to bid by telephone. If you come to the auction, NVP has a team of four people who can answer questions in multiple languages throughout the day, go to the box and take photos and videos with the telephone and send them on. Another option is that the interested party is called during the auction by the call panel that is located directly next to the auctioneer and in this way can bid on a foal.

ClipmyHorse.tv once again takes care of the online live streaming. The presentation of the foals starts at 3 pm on both days, with the auction at 5:45 pm. On Tuesday the jumping foals enter the arena, on Wednesday the dressage foals. All veterinary reports are now available online at www.prinsjesdag.eu. High-profile dressage talents deliver Prinsjesdag foals

Not only proven foundation stallions, but also the up-and-coming talents provide foals in the dressage collection of Foal Auction Prinsjesdag this year. Talkers such as Grand Galaxy Win, Glamourdale, Fürst William and Ferdeaux are fully represented in the dressage collection of Foal Auction Prinsjesdag on Wednesday 14 September.

The promising Grand Galaxy Win delivers no fewer than three foals for Foal Auction Prinsjesdag. The fillies Ladonna-Minka (pl. Kigali) and La Grande Dame Frieschwijk (ds. Valdez) and the colt Let's Go Win (ds. Krack C) are real eye-catchers and all descend from the Danish stallion selection champion Grand Galaxy Win.

The KWPN Stallion Inspection Champion in 2014 Glamourdale is represented in the collection by two sons: Lorence de Jeu (pl. Jazz) and Loco K (pls. Rousseau). In addition to the two foals from Glock's Toto Jr and the two Governor daughters, Grenoble, Ghandi, George Clooney, Gray Flanell and Guardian S also deliver foals for Prinsjesdag. The selection committee of Foal Auction Prinsjesdag also traveled across town and country this year to select the best foals for the show jumping and dressage auction on Tuesday 13 and Wednesday 14 September. Even foals from the famous and sought-after lines of Usha van 't Roosakker and McLain Ward's Olympian Sapphire or the Van 't Merelsnest breeding are again part of the show jumping collection this year.

The colts come from the line of the world famous mare Usha van 't Roosakker this year Quantum of the Bishop (Untouched x Elvis ter Putte) and Quando van den Bishop (Harley VDL x Stakkato).

Quantum van den Bisschop is one of the few descendants of the recently deceased Untouched, who belonged to one of the greatest jumping talents in the world under Ben Maher at the age of nine. In addition, Quantum was bred out of the young, promising mare Mevita van den Bisschop, the half-sister of the international show jumping talents Josephine van den Bisschop (Alberto Zorzi), Isaac van den Bisschop (Hansueli Sprunger) and Jackson van den Bisschop (Sabrina van Rijswijk). The colts Qionno van 't Merelsnest (Kannan x Nabab de Rêve) and Quizano van 't Merelsnest (Diamant de Semilly x Kannan) represent this year the famous strain of Sapphire (McLain Ward) and Glasgow van 't Merelsnest (Jur Vrieling).

Qionno van 't Merelsnest descends from the talented mare Latina van 't Merelsnest who goes back to Wendelina van 't Merelsnest via Indi Blue-W van 't Merelsnest. This mare jumped at international 1.50m level herself, is the full sister of McLain Wards Sapphire and produced Glasgow van 't Merelsnest and Edjaz van 't Merelsnest (Ward De Bie) among others.
Quizano van 't Merelsnest has a pedigree to dream of with Diamant de Semilly, Kannan, Mr. Blue, Lord Z and Darco consecutively. Ultimately, Quizano's pedigree also goes back to the line of the two-time gold Olympian Sapphire.

Big Star breeder Cees Klaver: 'Big Star is always jumping'

Ireland was one of the eye-catchers at the KWPN Stallion Inspection, but his career was not to last long. The reserve champion of the KWPN Stallion Inspection, purchased by Andreas Helgstrand, died of colic. With the filly Lanzarote (Dream Boy x Jazz), Foal Auction Prinsjesdag has still managed to capture the genes of Ireland.

For the first time, potential buyers already have insight into the veterinary reports of the foals that will be auctioned during the Foal Auction Prinsjesdag on 13 and 14 September. The findings of the clinical examination by recognized veterinary surgeons can be found on the website www.prinsjesdag.eu. This makes Foal Auction Prinsjesdag the first auction in the Netherlands that goes one step further in openness.
“We do this to provide the best possible transparent picture of the auction foals. For each foal that we have selected, we believe that the accompanying report is good enough for him or her to be auctioned, taking into account that they are very young foals where a lot can still change in terms of development," says Arjan van der Waaij, chairman of the foal auction in Ermelo.

The jumping foals will be auctioned on Tuesday 13 September, the dressage foals on Wednesday 14 September. A new embryo has also been added to www.embryoauctions.com, a branch of Foal Auction Prinsjesdag. It is an embryo of For Romance (Fürst Romancier x Sir Donnerhall I) out of the half-sister of Desperados FRH, winner of individual bronze and team gold at the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro.
