Exclusive Hickstead embryo to Sweden for 34,000 euros

Via Embryoauction.com, the very exclusive embryo of Hickstead out of the full sister of Quod'Coeur de la Loge was sold to Sweden for no less than 34,000 euros. This makes this unique embryo the most expensive embryo auctioned via Embryoauction.com since its launch in August 2015.

A Swedish buyer eventually took the lead in the bidding war for the embryo of the legendary Hickstead – the 2008 Olympic champion under the saddle of Eric Lamaze. The available frozen semen of the sadly deceased Hickstead is scarce, but via the advanced ICSI method we have managed to collect an embryo of this world-famous stallion.
The mother of the embryo is none other than Tsarina de la Loge – a daughter of Ideal de la Loge and the full sister of Quod'Coeur de la Loge. Ideal de la Loge belonged to the absolute world top under Frenchman Roger-Yves Bost and won, among other things, two Global Champions Tour Grand Prix. Quod'Coeur de la Loge is currently one of the best in the world and recently won the Global Champions Tour in Mexico City under Roger-Yves Bost.

Embryoauction.com congratulates the buyers with the purchase of this unique embryo!

Alicante on its way to world top on Miami Beach

In 2005 he came up for auction at Foal Auction Prinsjesdag and in 2016 he is on his way to the absolute world top in show jumping: the eleven-year-old stallion Alicante impressed on all fronts in the Longines Global Champions Tour of Miami Beach last weekend. Under the top Belgian rider Jérôme Guery, Alicante jumped in a fantastic way to seventh and eighth place in the richly decorated five-star 1.55m classes on Miami Beach.

Alicante was born in 2005 at Stoeterij 't Maalwater owned by Ron Nowee and is a son of the famous Casall out of the mare Texas M (Indoctro x Lagos). As a three-year-old Alicante earned his breeding license with the KWPN and was covered by the HBC Stable. After being expertly trained by Marc Houtzager and Julia Kayser, Alicante was sold to the Belgium-based Israeli horse dealer Tal Milstein. He had Alicante ridden by his stable rider Chloé Vranken and then placed him with the Belgian top rider Jérôme Guery. Since then, Alicante has only been going uphill and the fantastic performance at Miami Beach only confirms that. Again a confirmation of the motto of Foal Auction Prinsjesdag: The Power of Performance.

Meanwhile, in Villers, France, Vicomte Breteuil, another Prinsjesdag product showed itself. Nine-year-old Caesar (Lucky Boy x Corland) jumped under the Belgian Frederik Cattebeke to a fine sixth place in the CSI2* 1.45m Grand Prix. Again a promising horse who is at the beginning of his international Grand Prix career and of which we will be hearing a lot more!

Under Rachel Sandoz, Gigolo III is developing very well and has already jumped his first Grand Prix. The strong performance in Oliva bodes well for the summer season!

Heavy Metal Approved at BWP

The very talented stallion Heavy Metal (Eldorado van de Zeshoek x Numero Uno) was approved by the BWP last weekend. The four-year-old topper in the making was auctioned in 2012 at Foal Auction Prinsjesdag and last year already stood out as champion of the sBs Stallion Inspection.

Heavy Metal was bred by the successful breeding combination Evert Meijer and Gerard Lindeboom from Dalfsen. The dam of Heavy Metal, Whisper Queen, is none other than the full sister of Leon Thijssen's former show jumping crack Tyson (Numero Uno x Voltaire). After his approval at the sBs, Heavy Metal was also appreciated by the BWP and he earned a breeding license last weekend. Heavy Metal is owned by the Belgian stud Krismar Stables.

Prinsjesdag toppers at the front of Grand Prix Doha and De Peelbergen

DOHA / KRONENBERG - Bonne Chance CW and Wimphof's Hinde once again kept the name of Foal Auction Prinsjesdag high at Grand Prix level last weekend. At the CSI5* show in Doha, the phenomenal chestnut Bonne Chance CW jumped to sixth place under Janika Sprunger, while Wimphof's Hinde and Marriët Hoekstra were third in the national 1.50m Grand Prix at Equestrian Center De Peelbergen.

Bonne Chance CW (Baloubet du Rouet x Cambridge) under Janika Sprunger belongs to the absolute world top after she won many Grand Prix last year, including the CSI5* Grand Prix of Falsterbo. The bronze team medalist of the European Championship in Aachen again showed her enormous qualities in Doha and took sixth place in the Grand Prix. Previously, Bonne Chance CW also finished in sixth place in the 1.50m of Doha.

In the national 1.50m Grand Prix at Equestrian Center De Peelbergen, Wimphof's Hinde (Berlin x Heartbreaker) finished in a handsome third place. The topper of Marriët Hoekstra has already shown enormous potential for the highest work in recent months and impressed with her debut in the CSI3* Grand Prix of Indoor Drachten. The third place at De Peelbergen is another nice confirmation of the potential of the breeding product of Haras de la Vie.
