Exclusive Hickstead embryo to Sweden for 34,000 euros

Via Embryoauction.com, the very exclusive embryo of Hickstead out of the full sister of Quod'Coeur de la Loge was sold to Sweden for no less than 34,000 euros. This makes this unique embryo the most expensive embryo auctioned via Embryoauction.com since its launch in August 2015.

A Swedish buyer eventually took the lead in the bidding war for the embryo of the legendary Hickstead – the 2008 Olympic champion under the saddle of Eric Lamaze. The available frozen semen of the sadly deceased Hickstead is scarce, but via the advanced ICSI method we have managed to collect an embryo of this world-famous stallion.
The mother of the embryo is none other than Tsarina de la Loge – a daughter of Ideal de la Loge and the full sister of Quod'Coeur de la Loge. Ideal de la Loge belonged to the absolute world top under Frenchman Roger-Yves Bost and won, among other things, two Global Champions Tour Grand Prix. Quod'Coeur de la Loge is currently one of the best in the world and recently won the Global Champions Tour in Mexico City under Roger-Yves Bost.

Embryoauction.com congratulates the buyers with the purchase of this unique embryo!

Hannelinde auction topper Excellent Dressage Sales

HOOGE MIERDE – The four-year-old mare Hannelinde (Dream Boy x Sunny Boy) was the auction topper of the Excellent Dressage Sales last weekend for 175,000 euros. At the beginning of this year, Hannelinde was already the winner of the VSN Trophy for young dressage horses. A Belgian buyer got hold of Hannelinde last Saturday.

In 2012, Hannelinde was auctioned at Foal Auction Prinsjesdag and ever since then she has remained an eye-catcher. The victory in the final of the VSN Trophy was already a harbinger of even more great successes and the sale in the Excellent Dressage Sales confirms this. The only four-year-old mare turned out to be the auction topper and the hammer fell to 175,000 euros.

Foal Auction Prinsjesdag wishes the new owner of Hannelinde good luck with this budding topper!

Boston STH heading for the Grand Prix

ERMELO - The ten-year-old Boston STH (Johnson x Quattro B) received his starting permit for the Grand Prix last weekend under Denise Nekeman. At the Subtop match in Ermelo, Boston scored 68,55% in the Inter II and won the match. Boston STH was auctioned at Foal Auction Prinsjesdag 2006.

“I'm really happy with how he ran! Now the mistakes have to be solved”, was the enthousiasm of Denise Nekeman after her victory with Boston STH. Still plenty of room for progression, so a combination from which we can expect a lot!

Embryo of Glock's Toto Jr. and Reine B up for auction

After the recent sale of the embryo of Glock's Zonik out of Reine B for 26,000 euros, Embryoauctions.com offers another opportunity to capture an embryo out of the famous Grand Prix dressage mare Reine B of Peter Bleeker. This time Glock's Toto Jr. is the sire, who bears a lot of resemblance to his famous sire Totilas. Online bidding is possible until Saturday 23 April at 20.00.

Toto Jr's grandfather is the Grand Prix dressage stallion Desperados, who won two individual silver medals at the 2015 European Championships in Aachen. The only five-year-old Toto Jr. was the trendsetter in the KWPN/KNHS stallion competition last winter and scored many times a 9.5 and 9 for his basic gaits.

Mother of the embryo is the Grand Prix mare Reine B (Rubinstein). Reine B is Oldenburg branded and is a State Premium and Elite Stüte. She achieved many successes at the highest level with the Dutch rider Lotje Schoots. Anyone who knows this mare line knows that it produces numerous (inter)nationally successful dressage horses. In short, the foal that will be born has an unprecedented high expectation value for the future.

In 2006 Reine B delivered the AES approved stallion Brennus B (Diamond Hit) via embryo transfer, who was ridden to the Small Tour by Lotje Schoots. Reine B's daughter Fille de Reine B (Jazz) passed her IBOP in 2014 with 80.5 points.

Reine B is a full sister of the ZZ-Zwaar dressage horse Julia B and a half-sister of the Small Tour dressage horses Urchin B and Inca and a Z1 horse. They come out of the Z2-dressage mare Dola (Vincent), who is also grandam of the ZZ-heavy classified Windsor B, the ZZ-Licht dressage horse Zenobia B and four Z1/Z2 horses.

Alicante on its way to world top on Miami Beach

In 2005 he came up for auction at Foal Auction Prinsjesdag and in 2016 he is on his way to the absolute world top in show jumping: the eleven-year-old stallion Alicante impressed on all fronts in the Longines Global Champions Tour of Miami Beach last weekend. Under the top Belgian rider Jérôme Guery, Alicante jumped in a fantastic way to seventh and eighth place in the richly decorated five-star 1.55m classes on Miami Beach.

Alicante was born in 2005 at Stoeterij 't Maalwater owned by Ron Nowee and is a son of the famous Casall out of the mare Texas M (Indoctro x Lagos). As a three-year-old Alicante earned his breeding license with the KWPN and was covered by the HBC Stable. After being expertly trained by Marc Houtzager and Julia Kayser, Alicante was sold to the Belgium-based Israeli horse dealer Tal Milstein. He had Alicante ridden by his stable rider Chloé Vranken and then placed him with the Belgian top rider Jérôme Guery. Since then, Alicante has only been going uphill and the fantastic performance at Miami Beach only confirms that. Again a confirmation of the motto of Foal Auction Prinsjesdag: The Power of Performance.

Meanwhile, in Villers, France, Vicomte Breteuil, another Prinsjesdag product showed itself. Nine-year-old Caesar (Lucky Boy x Corland) jumped under the Belgian Frederik Cattebeke to a fine sixth place in the CSI2* 1.45m Grand Prix. Again a promising horse who is at the beginning of his international Grand Prix career and of which we will be hearing a lot more!

Gigolo III and Rachel Sandoz in shape at MET Oliva

Ten-year-old Gigolo III (Cassini II x Chin Chin) was in excellent form last week on the three-star Mediterranean Equestrian Tour in Oliva. Ridden by Switzerland's Rachel Sandoz, Gigolo III jumped to third place in the 1.40m class last Sunday, after finishing fifth on the same height on Thursday.

Gigolo III has a nice blood structure with Cassini II as sire and Chin Chin as maternal sire. Dam Wendy W already produced two international showjumpers and is the full sister of the KWPN-approved Grand Prix showjumping stallion Zélote VDL (Chin Chin x Libero H). Under Rachel Sandoz, Gigolo III is developing very well and has already jumped his first Grand Prix. The strong performance in Oliva bodes well for the summer season!

Genetic Black impresses with third place in Horsefood Talent Cup 2016

The Genetic Black (Jazz x Gribaldi), auctioned at Foal Auction Prinsjesdag, achieved an impressive third place in the Horsefood Talent Cup 2016 in Berkel-Enschot last weekend. Ridden by Justine Mudde of Magic Stables, the black gelding scored no less than 83.5 points and 85 points for overriding.

Genetic Black is a typical example of a Prinsjesdag product. His pedigree is to dream of with Jazz as father, Gribaldi as maternal sire and then the blood of Ferro. Even more exceptional is the dam line of Genetic Black, because the black gelding is bred out of the full sister of the world famous Painted Black. Genetic Black under Justine Mudde achieved a nice score of 83.5 points in the first round and then received 85 points from guest rider Danielle van Mierlo for running over.

In the four-year-olds Hannelinde (Dreamboy x Sunny Boy) under Aihoa Prada Ortiz made a good impression with 81 points. The VSN winner who will be auctioned soon at the Excellent Dressage Sales finished in sixth place.

Heavy Metal Approved at BWP

The very talented stallion Heavy Metal (Eldorado van de Zeshoek x Numero Uno) was approved by the BWP last weekend. The four-year-old topper in the making was auctioned in 2012 at Foal Auction Prinsjesdag and last year already stood out as champion of the sBs Stallion Inspection.

Heavy Metal was bred by the successful breeding combination Evert Meijer and Gerard Lindeboom from Dalfsen. The dam of Heavy Metal, Whisper Queen, is none other than the full sister of Leon Thijssen's former show jumping crack Tyson (Numero Uno x Voltaire). After his approval at the sBs, Heavy Metal was also appreciated by the BWP and he earned a breeding license last weekend. Heavy Metal is owned by the Belgian stud Krismar Stables.

Foal Auction Prinsjesdag congratulates the breeders Evert Meijer and Gerard Lindeboom and owner Krismar Stables with this great success!

RECORD PRICE FOR EMBRYO GLOCK'S ZONIK

Last Sunday, for the fourth time in a few weeks, www.embryoauction.com sold an embryo in which the best sports genes are anchored. The embryo of Glock's Zonik out of Grand Prix mare Reine B by breeder Peter Bleeker fetched a record price of 26,000 Euros. The embryo was sold to a very well-known German dressage stable that prefers not to be disclosed.

In the history of Foal Auction Prinsjesdag, the organization that also owns www.embryoauction.com, an embryo has never been sold for such a price before. 'We have been close to it before', says Nataly van Eykel of Foal Auction Prinsjesdag. 'De De Niro and de Fürstenball out of Sisther de Jeu recently went to the United States and the Netherlands for more than 20,000 Euros respectively, and the Kannan out of the only daughter of Ben Mayer's wonder horse Cella also fetched a similar amount. Years ago, we sold an embryo from the first generation of Totilas by Reine B, which then also went to Germany for 25,000.'

The website, which focuses in the form of embryos on mediation in the most exclusive genetic material of European warmblood breeding, can enjoy increasing international fame. More and more customers are signing up to participate in the auctions. The embryos mentioned earlier, but also the Glasgow van 't Merelsnest from the half-sister of VDL Bubalu from a few weeks ago, have already enjoyed considerable international interest. 'But we have not yet been able to experience the bidding spectacle that unfolded around Glock's Zonik', says Nataly van Eykel. 'Bids started slowly and over the course of Sunday we moved towards €10,000. We had interested people from America, the United Kingdom, Sweden, the Netherlands and Germany. The further we got, the more countries dropped out. The last 6 bids came alternately from the Netherlands and Germany. In the end, it was decided in favor of Germany.'

In the short term Embryoauction will release a number of new, very exclusive embryos. For more information www.embryoauction.com or call +31(0)342-440100.
