Prinsjesdag talents continue to perform strongly

The annual southern jumping tours have already started in full swing and the horses auctioned at Foal Auction Prinsjesdag also speak for themselves. In the Spanish Oliva in particular, the various Prinsjesdag horses achieved a number of appealing results.

For example, there is the only five-year-old Creswell LVP Z (Casall x Quantum), who under the Belgian rider Lieven Devos strings one clear result after another. Creswell LVP Z achieved a seventh place in one of the Young Horse Finals in Oliva in recent weeks. Then there is also Get Off (Numero Uno x Indoctro) who is doing very well with the Irish top rider Trevor Breen and who recently finished fourth in one of the finals for the six-year-old show jumpers in Oliva.

Even the now eleven-year-old carbania (Carolus II x Baloubet du Rouet) is performing well under the British Jemma Kirk and recently took fourth place and took a victory in an international class. the eleven-year-old Gigolo III (Cassini II x Chin Chin) performs strongly under the Swiss Rachel Sandoz. In the CSI2* ranking tests in Oliva Gigolo III jumped several times clear.

Closer to home, the KWPN-approved Edinburgh (Vleut x Darco) under Kristian Houwen to see very good things. Last weekend at Equestrian Center de Peelbergen, the eight-year-old stallion jumped to fifth place in the CSI2* 1,40m.

Denise Nekeman and Boston STH convincing Dutch champions U25

The promising combination Denise Nekeman with Boston STH won the KNHS Indoor Championship in the U25 category in Ermelo last weekend. With an average score of 74.34%, Nekeman and Boston STH, auctioned at the Prinsjesdag Foal Auction, were once again able to add a top performance to their palmares.

In the first part on Saturday, the eleven-year-old Johnson son Boston STH impressed with a score of no less than 73,06%. In the Freestyle on Sunday, Denise Nekeman and Boston STH scored 75,63%, bringing their average to 74.34%. “Boston is a really nice horse and always wants attention. His offspring are just as handsome as their father and have the same go, really nice”, says Denise Nekeman about the stallion Boston.

Foal Auction Prinsjesdag congratulates the Nekeman family and the breeder of Boston STH, Mr. JW Temmink from Vorden, with this great success!

After NMK champion, also KWPN Stallion Inspection Champion from Prinsjesdag

The past year was very successful at the KWPN inspections for both Foal Auction Prinsjesdag and the RS2 Dressage Center. After the NMK championship title of Iveniz Texel, bought by RS2 Dressage on Prinsjesdag, the Jameson RS2 auctioned as an embryo became champion of the KWPN Stallion Selection. A wonderful success for Saskia and Jacques Lemmens, Robin van Lierop and Seth Boschman of the successful dressage stable RS2 Dressage Center de Horst.

Jameson RS2 (Blue Hors Zack out of Atilinda M keur preferent IBOP(dres) sport (dres) by Negro) was bred by Stal 104 out of Wijdewormer van Willeke Bos, but Jameson was already sold as an embryo. At Foal Auction Prinsjesdag in 2013, the then unborn Jameson was put up for auction. His particularly interesting pedigree appealed to Robin van Lierop and Seth Boschman. "We knew the mother well and dared to take the gamble," Robin van Lierop told De Paardenkrant / Horses.nl. “It was a surprise egg”, says Saskia Lemmens of RS2 Dressage about Jameson RS2.

Dam Atilinda M was already performing at Small Tour level under Peter de Boer and this mare also showed all her talent in the PAVO Cup. Atilinda M is now ridden by Yessin Rahmouni, who is preparing the talented Negro mare for the Grand Prix. Sire Blue Hors Zack was already champion of the KWPN Stallion Selection at the time and descends from the foundation stallion Rousseau – also auctioned at Foal Auction Prinsjesdag.
Stallion selection committee chairman Bert Rutten was full of praise for the convincing champion Jameson RS2. "He has a fantastic canter, a lot of switching power, self-carriage and balance in movement," said the chairman.

Foal Auction Prinsjesdag congratulates breeder Willeke Bos van Stal 104 and owners Saskia and Jacques Lemmens, Robin van Lierop and Seth Boschman on this great success of Jameson RS2!

Prinsjesdag jumping stallion O'Neil vd Bisschop appointed for KWPN performance test

Foal Auction Prinsjesdag also had several great successes at the KWPN Stallion Inspection in Den Bosch this year. In the jumping direction, Prinsjesdag was appointed O'Neil vd Bisschop, who was auctioned in 2014 for the KWPN performance test. O'Neil vd Bisschop was bred by the De Craene family from Melle and owned by Ben van Mierlo from Koningslust.

O'Neil vd Bishop (Diamant de Semilly out of Jade vd Bisschop of Ogano Sitte) showed his jumping talents in Den Bosch; O'Neil has good impulsion, a lot of scope and seems very careful. His dam line is also very interesting: dam Jade is already jumping at international 1.40m level and is a daughter of the Grannus mare Priscilla. This mare is the foundation of famous international show jumpers such as Holland van den Bisschop (Remco Been), Estina (Samantha McIntosh) and the approved stallions Dulf van den Bisschop, Arizona and Maestro van den Bisschop.

Subsequently, Foal Auction Prinsjesdag was also represented several times in the Blom Stallion Competition. In the L class jumped the extremely talented Hernandez TN (Kannan out of Bea-Leva elite IBOP(spr) sport(spr) by Numero Uno, breeder Willem Dekker, Benningbroek) under Zoï Snels to a nice fifth place in the final standings. Also the also sold on Prinsjesdag Highlander (Numero Uno out of Ditty Dante C elite IBOP(spr) by Vingino, breeder MAM Lamers-Couwenberg, Helde) showed himself well in the final under Kristian Houwen and jumped convincingly clear.

The top talent Edinburgh (Vleut out of Olympic Queen keur performance sport(jump) by Darco, breeders EJ Meijer & G. Lindeboom, Dalfsen) jumped clear in the 1.40m VHO Trophy under Kristian Houwen. The only eight-year-old stallion then showed his talent in the jump-off and signed for a nice third place.

32,000 euros for Heliotrop HBZ in Sale of the Rising Stars

The Heliotrop HBZ, sold at Foal Auction Prinsjesdag, was sold for a nice price of 32,000 euros in the Sale of the Rising Stars last Saturday evening.

Heliotrop HBZ – a son of Tornesch out of the same mare as Willem Greve's top talent Formidable – showed himself particularly talented in the auction presentation in Drachten on Saturday afternoon. The careful, powerful jumping gelding already won several De Wolden Cup competitions for four-year-old show jumpers last summer and was spotted there by Sale of the Rising Stars organizer Teus van den Brink. The now five-year-old Heliotrop HBZ left for his new owner for a good price.

Prinsjesdag youngsters perform excellently

Attention is often focused on the Prinsjesdag toppers at the very highest level, but it is precisely this new group of emerging Prinsjesdag horses that is also particularly interesting. And these 'Prinsjesdag-youngsters' are currently doing great!

The just six year old Get Off (Numero Uno x Indoctro – full brother of Take Off) under the Irish top rider Trevor Breen is already successfully jumping at international level and has performed well in the young horse classes in Oliva in recent weeks. At the five-year-olds Creswell LVP Z (Casall x Quantum) also doing well in Oliva. Creswell jumped many times clear in the international classes under the Belgian Lieven Devos.

Closer to home in Drachten, the now eight-year-old VDL Groep Elexia and mr. Europe their business card. Yesterday in the international class for seven- and eight-year-old show jumpers, VDL Groep Elexia (Calvaro Z x Alexis Z) under top rider Leopold van Asten finished in second place. Last weekend, Mr. Europe (Mr. Blue x Cassini I) also did well in Drachten by finishing seventh in the 1.40m class under the saddle of Marc Houtzager.

Foal Auction Prinsjesdag celebrates 25th anniversary with free breeding

2017 is a special year for the Foal Auction Prinsjesdag, this year the 25ste edition of the auction. Various activities are planned around this anniversary this year, the kick-off will be during the KWPN Stallion Inspection. The Foal Auction Prinsjesdag has a special promotion for breeders and interested parties.

After the KWPN stallion selection from 1 to 4 February in Den Bosch, a breeding stallion of a dressage stallion and a jumping stallion will be raffled among everyone who has registered his or her (unborn) foal for the selection and/or has registered for the newsletter at the foal auction stand.

The winners can choose from one of the stallions that will be approved this spring during the KWPN performance test. Although Foal Auction Prinsjesdag often auctions foals from proven stallions, the board is very supportive of the use of a young, talented stallion from performance families. Which young prince suits your mare best? Everyone is also welcome at the stand for information, coffee and/or a drink.

Interesting embryo during stallion selection

The successful online auction www.embryoauction.com, which is part of Foal Auction Prinsjesdag, will start 2017 with the sale of an embryo by Cicero Z out of the international showjumping horse supplier Nienke RV. The auction will start on Tuesday January 24th and will end on Sunday February 5th at 8pm.

The embryo has excellent genes. Cicero Z (s. Carthago Z) is a true foundation stallion of Stoeterij Zangersheide and the 22-year-old ster-preferent performance mare Nienke RV (Emilion x Jason) of Stoeterij Renken has already produced more than seven international showjumpers.

Whether in combination with Cavalier, Concorde or Cardento, Nienke RV produces a top jumping horse. Besides the already well-known Grand Prix show jumpers from Nienke RV, such as Sanne RV (Hans Dieter Dreher), Toscane RV (Darragh Kerins) and Wayne RV (Jimmy Torano), horses such as Balans RV (Hillary McNerney), Champion de Quidam RV (Maureen Bonder & Sofie Yderstraede Bucka) and De Flipper RV (Petronella Andersson & Daniel Deusser) more and more.
