Foal Auction Prinsjesdag confirms position with the dressage foals

Buyers from home and abroad got their hands on quality at Foal Auction Prinsjesdag today. The Desperados FRH son O'Neil T took the crown tonight thanks to a nice sum of € 40,000 and is therefore one of the striking future talents from this collection who is leaving for a top stable. On average, the foals came in at more than € 10,300.

The well-moving O'Neil T (Desperados FRH x Vivaldi, breeder J. Tissingh) will leave for Gestüt Sprehe in Germany for a great price of € 40,000. Leading buyers from Denmark, America, Germany, the Arab Emirates and Singapore also found their way to Foal Auction Prinsjesdag and registered foals.

Quality in width

Three foals were given new owners for € 30,000, including Glock's Toto Jr. son Omaha Beach Texel (ds.Apache, breeder Wim van der Linde), half of the proceeds of which will be donated to the charity Villa Pardoes. The striking foal was purchased by Westfort Vleesproducten of the Kruijswijk family. For the same amount, Ophilia (Daily Diamond x First Promise, breeder Stal Chavaleh) and Vie Romancée (Vitalis x Ferro, breeder L. Heijkoop) have come into new hands. The former remains in the Netherlands, while the Vitalis son was purchased by Andreas Helgstrand. “In the current market we are very satisfied with the way the auction and the prices went. We had no extreme outliers and still achieved almost the same average as last year," says chairman Arjan van der Waaij. On average, the sold foals amounted to € 10,310. “A small side note is that three foals have not been bid. We consciously choose to use a relatively high starting amount of 5,000 euros, because we believe that all selected foals should yield at least that. But ultimately it is the time of day and the market that determine how an auction goes. We had a great audience, good foals and generally good prices. So that is absolutely satisfying.”

Glock's Toto Jr.

A total of fifteen foals crossed the €10,000 mark and the blood of Glock's Toto Jr. turned out to be very popular. Ovarieta Texel (Glock's Toto Jr. x Ferro, breeder Wim van der Linde, € 28,000) and O Look At Me (Glock's Toto Jr. x Charmeur, breeder Harold Renken, € 20,000) brought in good money for their breeders. . “We look back on two wonderful auction days. With the show jumping foals, all our expectations were exceeded and today we have been able to maintain our strong position as an auction with the dressage foals. Our motto 'The power of performance' remains leading,” concludes Van der Waaij.
