Personal artwork opening auction piece dressage evening

During the dressage auction of Foal Auction Prinsjesdag on September 12, the opening auction piece is an exclusive, personal work of art. Created by Astrid Thomas of ResinArt.
ResinArt is a young company that combines artistic creativity & photography with shine & deepening of synthetic resin.

Proceeds to Parapaard

The proceeds of the opening auction piece will benefit ParaPaard. This is part of the Disability Sports Fund and is committed to raising (financial) resources in order to support associations and organizations that offer adapted equestrian sports activities to people with disabilities. By supporting them, ParaPaard wants to ensure that adapted horse riding is made and kept more accessible.

ResinArt originated from an uncovered passion for synthetic resin

Synthetic resin (or epoxy) is a two-component resin that can be described perfectly as 'liquid glass'. Where a photo on acrylic is actually attached to the photo behind an acrylic plate, the High Gloss Epoxy is poured over the photo and molds itself to the object. This provides a nicer color intensity and a beautiful depth effect. The special thing about epoxy is that various materials can be applied between the different layers. You can think of Swarovski or gold leaf, but real flowers or even the mane of a horse can be processed in a photo panel, so that a beautiful 3d effect is achieved.

The piece of art to be auctioned is tailor-made for the highest bidder. The size of the offered artwork is 50 by 70, but customization is of course also an option. The photo offered will be made by Fleur Louwe. This talented young photographer has been nominated for a Dutch Photograph Talent Award 2019.
