Numero Uno-zoon Iowa Paulowna naar tweede bezichting KWPN-hengstenkeuring
ERMELO – Iowa Paulowna (Numero Uno x Carthago) is de eerste bij het KWPN doorverwezen Prinsjesdag-hengst van de KWPN-hengstenkeuring 2015/2016. De door familie Van Straaten gefokte hengst kwam in 2013 ter veiling bij Veulenveiling Prinsjesdag en werd gisteren op de keuring succesvol voorgesteld door Team Nijhof en A.J. Keppel uit Anna Paulowna.
Iowa Paulowna is gefokt uit de beroemde Zottie-stam, waaruit vele toppers komen zoals Vindicat W (Jessica Springsteen), de KWPN-goedgekeurde Amadeus, Springtime (Nathalie van der Mei & Saer Coulter), Woklahoma (Albert Zoer & Roberto Teran Tafur), et cetera. Iowa Paulowna overtuigde met zijn macht op de sprong en goede achterhandtechniek.
De komende week zullen nog meer Prinsjesdag-hengsten op de KWPN-hengstenkeuring verschijnen. Uit de vorige jaargang zijn maar liefst drie Prinsjesdag-hengsten goedgekeurd bij het KWPN, namelijk Highlander (Numero Uno x Vingino), Hervé d’Ive VDL (Vigo d’Arsouilles x Indoctro) en Hernandez TN (Kannan x Numero Uno).
Iowa Paulowna (Numero Uno x Carthago) is first Prinsjesdag-stallion of this year’s KWPN Stallion Selections who has been selected for the second round. This stallion was bred by family Van Straaten and was auctioned at Foal Auction Prinsjesdag 2013. Owners Team Nijhof and A.J. Keppel presented the son of Numero Uno successfully at the first round of the KWPN Stallion Selections yesterday in Ermelo.
Iowa Paulowna is bred out of the famous Zottie-damline, which already produced many top horses such as Vindicat W (Jessica Springsteen), the KWPN approved Amadeus, Springtime (Nathalie van der Mei & Saer Coulter), Woklahoma (Albert Zoer & Roberto Teran Tafur), et cetera. Iowa Paulowna convinced with his ability and power on the jump and good use of the hindleg.
More Prinsjesdag-stallions will present themselves this week and next week at the KWPN Stallion Selections. From the stallions born in 2012 no less than three Prinsjesdag-stallions were approved by the KWPN. Highlander (Numero Uno x Vingino), Hervé d’Ive VDL (Vigo d’Arsouilles x Indoctro) and Hernandez TN (Kannan x Numero Uno) all gained the prestigious KWPN breeding license.
