United Touch S daughter Usha Gold Key Z tops the auction with 36,000 euros

The fourth and final foal auction of the season for Prinsjesdag Foal Auction has concluded. The highlight of the evening was the exceptionally well-bred filly Usha Gold Key Z, a daughter of United Touch S from the renowned dam line of Usha van 't Roosakker, bred by Eric and Josje Sleutels of Key Stud. This foal sold to an American client for €36,000.

The National Equestrian Center in Ermelo hosted the 40 show jumping foals selected by Bob Janssens and Willem van Hoof this evening. The evening got off to a flying start with the Echo van 't Spieveld daughter, Era Key Z. This foal sold for €15,000, €5,900 of which was donated to the Clini Clowns charity.

Two foals for 20,000 euros
Besides the top seller, several other top prices were paid tonight. Both Calgary-K van Kattenheye (by Impress-K van 't Kattenheye Z) and Eleonor vd Berghoeve (by Emerald van 't Ruytershof) sold for €20,000 to Dutch buyers in the audience. Nearly 851 TP3T foals were sold tonight, averaging over €11,000. Both online and in-person buyers appreciated the quality of the evening's show. Buyers came from the US and the Netherlands, as well as Belgium, Hungary, Germany, Sweden, Great Britain, and Ireland.

Confidence of breeders and buyers
"We look back on a fantastic evening. The atmosphere was great from the start. The foals showed themselves well, and we had many customers both in the hall and online," said chairman Arjan van der Waaij enthusiastically afterward. "It was the first time that Prinsjesdag Foal Auction organized four auctions this year, with a premiere at the Dutch Show Jumping Championships in Deurne. We are proud of our continuous innovation. But without the trust of our breeders, bidders, and buyers, we couldn't do this, and we are incredibly grateful for that," concluded Van der Waaij.
