Sir Romance auction topper Foal auction Prinsjesdag at Droom Hoeve
De Droom Hoeve and Prinsjesdag Foal Auction celebrated a first with the very first edition of this exclusive dressage auction. A promising collection of dressage foals was presented at a breathtaking venue, with a sold-out VIP booth and atmospheric entertainment. The highlight of the auction was the Sir Donnerhall son Sir Romance, who sold for €20,000 to Okidoki Stables.
All foals will remain with the Dutch sport and breeding community. Vinto Vinted JS (by Vjento) also found a new owner for €19,000, and Vanquish (by One Million) changed hands for €18,000. In total, nearly 80% from the collection were sold, mostly to buyers in the stallion booth. The foals averaged €10,000.
"We are incredibly grateful for the Broersen family's efforts; thanks in part to their cooperation and the fantastic location, we had a wonderful evening," said Gert Wezenberg on behalf of the Prinsjesdag Foal Auction board. "The entire team worked incredibly hard to create a unique auction, and we absolutely succeeded. We look forward to going even further next year. For now, we are focusing on the fourth and final auction of the year: the traditional Prinsjesdag auction in Ermelo, this time entirely dedicated to show jumping foals."
