Veiling 2009. De KWPN-goedgekeurde hengst Edinburgh won onder Kristian Houwen maar liefst twee jaar achter elkaar de KNHS/KWPN Hengstencompetitie en zijn derde jaar deelname werd hij tweede. De hengst van Jos Althuyzen en Jos en Trudi Houwen wordt gezien als een waar toptalent en is nauwverwant aan Grand Prix-springpaarden als Tyson, Nirvana en Tadmus. Inmiddels heeft de Vleut-zoon zijn kwaliteiten ook al op internationaal niveau laten zien. In 2018 heeft Kristian met Edingburgh reeds verschillende 1,50m-rubrieken gesprongen. Eerder imponeerde zij met vrijwel louter foutloze rondes in Asten, De Peelbergen en Valkenswaard. Tijdens CSI Eindhoven 2017 viel hij van de drie gereden wedstrijden alle drie in de prijzen. Met als hoogtepunt een 3e plaats in de Grand Prix van Eindhoven.

The KWPN approved stallion Edinburgh won the KNHS / KWPN Stallion Competition for two years in a row under Kristian Houwen and his second year of participation was second. The stallion of Jos Althuyzen and Jos and Trudi Houwen is seen as a true top talent and is closely related to Grand Prix show jumpers such as Tyson, Nirvana and Tadmus.
