About Paradiso

Livius, the 4-year-old son of Bordeaux, made a great impression with his first foals on our selection committee. This expressive, long-lined colt Paradiso is one of those eyecatchers by Livius; he moves with a lot of confidence, foundation and elasticity. Sire Livius was bred out of the same damline as the stallion Olivi and performed remarkably well in last year’s KWPN Performance Test with five 8.5’s and a 9 for rideability. We also see his dam’s sire Vivaldi on the dam’s side of Paradiso via the ‘Elite’ mare Janel – a daughter of Grand Prix stallion Desperado N.O.P. Paradiso’s dam Janel received a 9 for her trot at the KWPN Mare Show and earned good marks in the performance test. Her dam, granddam and great-granddam have all competed at Z-level dressage. This damline, that goes back to the famous mare Oludine, delivered another foal for this year’s edition of Foal Auction Prinsjesdag: Prins, sired by Just Wimphof. In addition, Paradiso is closely related to the the international Inter I horse Zwetcher.
