At the well attended stallion approval of Studbook Zangersheide, three very promising stallions from the 2015 collection of Foal Auction Prinsjesdag have been approved. One of them, the striking Baloubet du Rouet son Kazan was subsequently purchased by Judy-Ann Melchior, which makes sure he is heading for a grand future.
Bred by Jan Lamers, Kazan (Baloubet du Rouet out of the elite sport prestatie mare Sereuza s.Heartbreaker) represents a first class performance dam line and was therefore easily selected for Foal Auction Prinsjesdag three years ago. This year he was already selected for the KWPN performance test and now also Zangersheide accepted this future talent for breeding. Judy-Ann Melchior saw the great potential of this outstanding jumping stallion Kazan and purchased him for their stud.
Two Toulon sons
The genetically interesting, well-jumping T.King Toulon W Z (Toulon out of Berlottie W elite IBOP s.Emilion) is also approved for Zangersheide. This athletic son of Toulon was bred by Peter and José van Wegen and was sold at the Foal Auction Prinsjesdag to Jonny Roelofsen, who presented him at the stallion approvals together with Wim ten Pas. He is closely related to the Olympic team medal winner Vindicat W (s.Guidam). The Toulon son Hongkong B (out of Zita s.Contender) also earned the breedig license for Zangersheide. This stallion was bred by Mr. Mangelschots and comes from the direct dam line of the Grand Prix show jumper Kira III (by Carthago). Tocar’, which was his former name, was sold at our auction to Egbert Schep. Hongkong B is now owned by Hengststation Bachl from Germany.
Besides these three stallions, also dressage stallion King of Power SQBS convinced a stallion committee. This Fellini-son (ds.Uphill) bred by the Spierings family was purchased at Foal Auction Prinsjesdag by Cindy Schuurmans. She presented him at the AES licensing successfully. As a foal this stallion, who is related to the Small Tour horse Patser (by Jazz), already was a real eye catcher!
