Sport and breeding united at Jumping De Driehoek

Last year an extra edition of Foal Auction Prinsjesdag was organized for the first time during CSI3* Jumping de Driehoek in Stegeren-Ommen (NL). An exclusive group of nine very interesting foals was auctioned there. This auction will be organized for the second time on the 3rd of August on the wonderful grounds of Familie Schuttert.

The skilled auctioneer Koen Olaerts has been hired to auction around ten jumping foals on the Saturday night of Jumping De Driehoek. This tenth edition of CSI3* Ommen takes place from July the 30th to the 4th of August. On Saturday evening, the people can first watch -or ride- the Medium Tour final at this free entrance event, and then secure the future in the Prinsjesdag auction which starts at 9PM.

Sport and breeding

By bringing the auction to an international show, riders and sports enthusiasts can effortlessly assure themselves of young talent. “It’s a good way to bring sport and breeding together. We are looking for complete foals for this auction that may be born in the beginning of the season. Once again it is the intention to auction foals with the whole package: a  very good pedigree, good conformation and a first-class canter. In short, foals with great potential for show jumping”, says Fred van Straaten, who takes care of the selection for the show jumping foals together with Willem van Hoof. The registration for both this auction and the ones in Ermelo is now open and the foals can be registered online at www.prinsjesdag.eu.
