For the third year in a row, Foal Auction Prinsjesdag organizes an exclusive showjumping foal auction during CSI3* Ommen. Once again, a select group of extremely interesting future talents will be sold in this auction, which is scheduled for Saturday the 11th of July. The registrations are open from today for both this auction as well as the regular auctions on the 15th and 16th of September in Ermelo.
In the 2019 edition of the show jumping foals auction at CSI Ommen, all foals were sold for a price of at least € 10,000 and the average price was € 12,500. The For Pleasure son O’Pleasure Ice from breeder Ton van Tilburg turned out to be the most expensive of the ten foals with a price of € 19,000. This year, Prinsjesdag Foal Auction is again looking for outstanding foals. “We always try to get the very best foals in our collections for Foal Auction Prinsjesdag. Genetically interesting jumping foals out of first class performance damlines, with as much international performing close relatives as possible, good conformation and a good canter. Foals that can grow into top horses for both sport and breeding”, says selector Willem van Hoof, who is together with Fred van Straaten responsible for the selection of the jumping foals. “For the exclusive auction in Ommen, it’s also important that the foals are born in the beginning of the season, since the auction already takes place on the 11th of July.”
The foals can now be registered here on our auction, for both the auction in Ommen and the regular auctions in Ermelo on 15th (jumping foals) and 16th (dressage foals) of September. For the auctions in Ermelo, Foal Auction Prinsjesdag will organize selection days and the first dates have been published on the website, starting from the 22th of May. Foal Auction Prinsjesdag has been proving to be one of the best auctions in Europe for decades, offering a fantastic stage for the very best foals.
