The KWPN Stallion Show turned out to be a wonderful reunion with some stallions that were auctioned as foals at Foal Auction Prinsjesdag, as well as many loyal breeders en buyers in our stand next to the main ring. Four stallions were invited for the KWPN performance test.
On Wednesday, the Dominator Z son Defender VDS Z (ds.Padinus), bred by Daphne van der Scheer, was definitely one of the outliers of this first day. The stallion was sold as a foal at our auction to his current owner Herman Verhagen. Also a lot of talent and a outstanding pedigree has the selected stallion Illinois B Z (Ideal de la Loge x Elvis ter Putte) bred by Erik and Josje Sleutels. He was sold as an embryo during our auction and thus was born in the stables of current owner Rinus Blom. On the second day of the selection of the show jumping stallions Willem Greve’s Grandorado TN son Mevano (ds.Indoctro, breeder Jan Arend Bouwhuizen) performed well and with that this athletic jumping stallion also earned an invitation for the KWPN performance test.
Among the dressage stallions, the beautiful, uphill moving Apache son Mapache (ds.Desperado, breeder Willem Goesten) developed into a crowd’s favorite. The selection committee was also charmed by the stallion of Ad Valk and with that he is also one step further towards KWPN approval. Breeders and owners: congratulations on this success and good luck for the future!
