Foal Auction Prinsjesdag full of confidence towards 2019!

The board of Foal Auction Prinsjesdag looks back on the 2018 edition with full satisfaction. Like other years, International buyers managed to find the auction. Buyers are willing to pay for quality and potential. The average of the jumping edition was € 14,338. Absolute auction topper of 2018 turned out to be the excellent dressage foal Nouvelle Feniz Texel (by Glock’s Toto Jr.), who was sold for € 85,000.

Chairman Arjan van der Waaij about last edition: “We have every reason to be positive. We had a good auction and the entire administrative handling went well too.” The jumper auction went fantastic. The filly New Usha van ‘t Studutch (by Cavalier Royale) was sold for a whopping € 52,000. Next Meta became the second-most expensive foal. This very interesting foal by Cornet Obolensky is the full sister to KWPN champion stallion Kannan Jr .was sold for € 44,000.

Highly talented dressage foals dominated the second auction day. Filly Nouvelle Feniz Texel, bred by the Van der Linde family, caused an exciting bidding duel. Family Dantism succeeded to buy her for € 85,000. Also Natural Spring SSS (v.Totilas, € 56,000) and Ninvasion (v.Glock’s Toto Jr., € 32,000) were sold for excellent prices.

KWPN Stallion Show

The Prinsjesdag team will be present in February during the upcoming KWPN stallion show in Den Bosch. Van der Waaij: “People can find us at our familiar spot next to the main arena. Everyone is welcome to obtain information about our auction or a cup of coffee. I hereby invite everyone to come by and have a chat.” Breeders can register their (expected) foals on spot through the website.

Van der Waaij: “We continue to select our collections according to our motto ‘the power of performance’ and we are looking forward to 2019 with great confidence.” Foal Auction Prinsjesdag is back next year on the third Tuesday of September. On 17 September the jumping foals are auctioned and 18 September the dressage foals will enter the arena.
