The second edition of the Prinsjesdag Foal Auction during CSI2* Ermelo has concluded successfully. With a carefully selected collection of eight show jumping-bred foals, the auction once again managed to attract the attention of breeders, sport stables, and enthusiasts from home and abroad. The absolute highlight of the evening was Diasall Argilla Berghoeve Z (Diarado x Casall ASK), who changed hands for no less than \u20ac28,000.<\/p>\n

The eight foals formed a collection in which proven sport genes, strong dam lines, and promising young stallions and mares came together. The interest shown during the live auction in Ermelo once again underscored the appeal of high-quality show jumping-bred foals.<\/p>\n

Diasall Argilla Berghoeve Z absolute auction winner<\/h3>\n

The star of the evening was the bay stallion Diasall Argilla Berghoeve Z, born on May 13, 2026. With Diarado x Casall x Cassini II x Laurin, he represents a combination of proven performance genes. His sire, Diarado, is one of the leading sires in international show jumping, while his dam, Zuckersuess d'Argilla, was herself successful at 5* and World Cup level under Holger Wulschner.<\/p>\n

Diasall's further dam line is also captivating. Grandmother Echse produced several horses that competed at 1.60m level and belongs to the successful Holstein Stamm 730b. This makes Diasall interesting not only from a sporting perspective, but also a particularly interesting prospect from a breeding point of view.<\/p>\n

That the market recognized this potential became evident during the auction. After an exciting bidding process, Diasall Argilla Berghoeve Z was ultimately sold for \u20ac28,000, making him the convincing top lot of this edition.<\/p>\n

Eight promises for the future<\/h3>\n

In addition to Diasall Argilla Berghoeve Z, the collection consisted of seven other carefully selected show jumping foals: Balou Z (Balou du Reventon x Numero Uno), Extrello van de Visbeek Z (Extreme 111 x Casco Boy), Euphorie Key Z (Emerald van 't Ruytershof x Toulon), Washington van de Hagenhorst (Cartello VDL x Big Star), Wild Libby Reuvekamp's (Comthago VDL x Le Tot de Semilly), In The Sky-K van Kattenheye (Impress-K van 't Kattenheye x Harley VDL) and Dolf van de Polderblues (Chad Blue PS x Minute Man).<\/p>\n

The collection was thus rebuilt around one clear vision: offering foals with the potential to develop into future sport and breeding horses.<\/p>\n

New permanent fixture on the calendar<\/h3>\n

The auction during CSI2* Ermelo is part of the expansion of the Prinsjesdag Foal Auction calendar. Following the earlier edition in May, this second Ermelo edition was also organized both live and online. In doing so, Prinsjesdag continues to build a platform where breeders can present their high-quality foals to an international buying audience.<\/p>\n

With an appealing collection, strong interest, and an absolute top lot at \u20ac28,000, Veulenveiling Prinsjesdag looks back with satisfaction on the edition of August 21.
