Arc de Triomphe and Alicante impress at Jumping Amsterdam

AMSTERDAM – They are both born in 2005, both auctioned at Foal Auction Prinsjesdag and both jumped fantastic at this year’s edition of Jumping Amsterdam: Arc de Triomphe and Alicante. Ridden by Frank Schuttert, Arc de Triomphe showed off his enormous ability and also the newly formed combination Jérôme Guery – Alicante impressed with lots of potential.

After a strong performance in the 1.45m on Friday night, Frank Schuttert chose Arc de Triomphe (Triomphe de Muze x Calvados) – bred by family van Straaten – to compete in the CSI4 * Grand Prix of Amsterdam. For the highly successful Arc de Triomphe, it was his first appearance in a four-star Grand Prix. The son of Triomphe de Muze showed his tremendous ability and quality, but got two light rails. This year, we will see a lot more of Frank Schuttert and Arc de Triomphe at the highest level!

Ridden by Belgium’s top rider Jérôme Guery, the Stoeterij ‘t Maalwater bred Alicante (Casall x Indoctro) made an excellent impression in the Amsterdam RAI. In addition to his excellent performances in Friday’s 1.40m and Sunday’s 1.45m, Alicante impressed in the 1.50m on Saturday night. A fully packed RAI witnessed Alicante showing enormous potential in the prestigious 1.50m YACHT Prix. The brand new combination got one fault, but Jérôme Guery and Alicante made a promising impression!
